The program was a ratings hit for the network, with over 23 million viewers, the largest audience since Barbara Walters' interview with Monica Lewinsky.

The entire interview, including exterior shots, originated from the UniSat TES 2 Digital Satellite Production Unit. ABC's requirements were perfectly suited for this truck. The full digital production included 5 cameras, 6 Betacam SP recorders, dual path KU digital satellite transmission and complete communications -- utilizing 16 cellular/satellite phones for all connections to ABC headquarters in New York.

In addition, UniSat provided ABC with live shots for World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, Nightline and Good Morning America.
